Ms. Yaginuma was born in Nihonmatsu city, Fukushima prefecture. She is chairperson of a nonprofit organization, “The Fukushima Vegetable Garden Project”. The group sells Fukushima-produced vegetables in the Tokyo metropolitan area in order to support the farmers who have been struggling with low sales price due to rumors related to radioactive contamination, while reporting the situation of Fukushima today.
